Great article by

Hamidullah-Bey about Haute Couture "High Fashion" in the Muslim World,
Muslim
Haute Couture. Haute couture is a French phrase for "High dressmaking or
High Fashion", a few elite fashion designers can claim this title and the
clothing are usually for wealthy women.
She introduces you to the "Tesettur" which is a Turkish term term used to describe stylish Islamic clothing for Muslim women, "Today's tesettur is to Islamic fashion what haute couture is to the rest of the world". One Islamic Fashion designer that is considered an Houte couture is the Tekbir which headed by Mustafa Karadumanu. The difficulty for Tekbir and other similar Islamic fashion designers is that they must compete against immodest fashion designers for clients basically creating a stiff competition. The article concludes with great advice on how to get the "testtur look" with a modest budget. We highly recommend this great article, check it out! Great Job, Jokima! Set as favorite Bookmark
